Online Quran classes for kids: what parents should know
Published 2026-10-28
Most parents we hear from want the same three things for their children: a teacher who is patient, a time slot that does not fight with school and activities, and real progress they can hear at home. Live online lessons can give all three. This guide explains how a child’s class runs, how to pick the right starting course, and how to try it free before you commit.
Why one-to-one suits young learners
Put a timid youngster in a crowded class and they may sit silent for a whole lesson and a confident one can rush ahead. With a single teacher and a single child on the call, neither happens. Each letter your child says reaches the tutor’s ear, gets fixed on the spot, and only moves forward once the sound is right. Children who need more repetition get it without feeling left behind, and quick learners are not held back.
What a child’s lesson looks like on screen
Your child opens the class on a laptop, iPad or tablet. Teacher and child can see each other on camera, and the teacher shares the page being studied, marking the exact letter or line to read. Nothing needs to be printed or bought. Each lesson starts from where the last one finished, so practice builds week on week. The full walkthrough is on our how classes work page.
Picking the right first course for your child
| If your child… | Start with |
|---|---|
| Does not know the Arabic letters yet | Noorani Qaida |
| Knows the letters but reads word by word | Quran Reading |
| Reads fluently but makes pronunciation slips | Tajweed |
| Reads well and wants to memorise | Hifz |
Unsure? Choose “Help me choose” on the form. While the trial runs, the tutor checks how your child reads and proposes a level. You can compare every option on the courses page.
Fitting classes around a school week
We teach 24/7, seven days a week, so a lesson can go before the school bus, straight after homework, between practice and dinner, or on a weekend morning. You choose the days. Families across the USA simply write their time zone on the form, and our team confirms the class in their local time. If you live in America, our USA scheduling guide has a time-zone table.
Female or male teacher for your child
Female and male teachers are both available 24/7. Many parents ask for a woman teacher for their daughters, and some for younger boys too; others are fine with either. Mark your choice when you book.
How parents can help at home
- Sit nearby for the first few lessons. Little ones settle faster, and you get a feel for the tutor’s style.
- Set up a fixed spot. A table, the device at eye level, a charger plugged in and the camera tested a few minutes early.
- Keep the same days. A regular rhythm makes the class feel like part of the week rather than an extra.
- Listen to a little practice. A few minutes of hearing your child read between lessons shows them it matters.
- Talk to the team. If a time stops working or your child needs a change, email us and we will adjust.
Fees for kids’ classes
The Monday–Friday plan is $35 a month (USD). Weekend-only, fewer weekdays or any other pattern is a custom plan; our team agrees that price with you before any payment. Details are on the fees page.
Try three classes free
- Fill in the 3-day free trial form with your child’s age group, your time zone and the days you prefer.
- Our team emails you to confirm the first class time.
- Your child takes three free live classes and the teacher recommends a course.
- Then choose a plan and your days, or stop; no payment details are asked during the trial.
